Avoid Using Welcome
Using "welcome to" or "web site under construction" or using "click here" for a link
The above are mortal sins. It was trendy in the 90s to put "under construction" on web pages being worked on. This usually was a picture of a construction worker with yellow hat and road block. The real trendy people even animated it with flashing lights. Looking back, its so ridiculous. If your page is not ready, don't make it available to the public! Its not a hard game.
Using the old "welcome to" is just a waste of two valuable words with which the space could of been used to say something meaningful. "Click here" is just plain silly, visitors want to know where they are going to, click here is not very descriptive, and unless you want to get in the top 10 on google for "click here" then its pointless.
Put something like "Adelaide Web site Design" this tells the search engines what to expect and gives you much higher chance of getting listed for a relevant search term.
